Cholesterol is a waxy fatty substance which is found everywhere in the human body. It involves with almost every process going on within our bodies. Human body gets cholesterol form diet and after going through digestive tract food processed through liver and cholesterol produces in it. As one must be aware that cholesterol is essential to life if moderately taken, if taken in huge quantity it can really be unsafe for the body. High intake of cholesterol can cause atherosclerosis, stroke and heart attack.  If someone has high level of cholesterol, then taking it lightly is a risky thing to do.

Once you have found that you have high level of cholesterol it is time to change your eating habits. The natural way of lowering the cholesterol level is eating healthy and eating things, which reduce cholesterol naturally. There are numbers of foods available, which can play very vital part in keeping the cholesterol level low such as orange juice. It can help to reduce the cholesterol level up to ten percent, as it is rich in vitamins and nutrition, which are essential in reducing cholesterol level in the body can aid in its control.  Olive oil, eating food cooked in olive oil can reduce the cholesterol level because of presence of antioxidants present in olive oil. Fatty acids such as omega-3 and fish can also help in reducing the cholesterol.  Yogurt can also reduce cholesterol level by ten percent, as it is full of probiotics. Almonds and walnuts both are famous for reducing the cholesterol level.  Oatmeal grains can also reduce cholesterol levels of the body. Apple and pears also lower cholesterol levels naturally.
