As we already know that cholesterol high levels are dangerous for human health. If you have high level of cholesterol than consult the doctor and start doing things to lower it back to the normal level. Doing the exercise, having healthy meals regularly and eating lot of fruits and vegetables can help you to reduce the level of the cholesterol. As it is known by us that there are a lot of foods available which can play a very vital role in reducing the cholesterol level. Food that is rich in vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants and not to forget fiber must be taken. There are certain nuts present which can also help in reducing the level of cholesterol. These nuts must be taken in limited amount as they contain a lot of calories, but they have ability to reduce the level of cholesterol up to 5 percent. Nuts like Almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, pistachios, hazelnuts and peanuts.

Foods with Omega 3 fatty acid and fish are also very helpful in reducing the level of cholesterol. Orange juice has tendency to reduce up to 10 percent of the cholesterol. Use of the Vegetable oils instead of regular oil can also be helpful in the reduction of cholesterol. Food which is enriched with fiber is another great way to reduce the cholesterol. Fiber either soluble or insoluble absorbs the excess dietary cholesterol before it gets into bloodstream. Foods which are rich in fiber are whole grains, whole wheat, whole oats, whole rye, brown rice, eggplant and oatmeal.  These are some of the good diet to lower cholesterol effectively.
