Mesothelioma cancer a brief overview

Mesothelioma is a malignant cancer, usually lethal, which affects the lining cells of pleura, peritoneum and pericardium.

The main risk factor for developing this cancer is the exposure to asbestos.

The asbestos exposure is possible in some workplace, environment or at home.

The time between the first exposure and its occurrence as a cancer can take 10 years and even more, in some case even 50 years.

The decreasing of mesothelioma cancer is feasible only without any contact with asbestos, this is visible in all countries which have implemented policies to control and abandon asbestos.
