Mesothelioma cancer: asbestos the invisible enemy

The mesothelioma cancer is belonging to the presence of asbestos.

Many countries have policies to protect the population and all workers.

Who is at risk?

Main risk factor of mesothelioma cancer is exposure to asbestos.

Majority of these cancers are related to people who have had contact with this substance in the work place.

What is asbestos?

Asbestos indicates a family of minerals rather common in nature.

Its fibres are really resistant to heat and they are so thin that can be inhalant.

If these fibres are inhalants, they can deposit in the lungs, they can develop other diseases like asbestosis and cancer.

This process can take more then 10 years, and even if people are not exposed anymore to asbestos the fibres can be still present.

Even one fibre can be responsible of cancer, but it’s very important how long has been the exposure to asbestos.

The families are in danger too, because from work these fibres can be transported at home with clothes.

Some other can be the cause of risk like zeolites, substances like asbestos, and radiation to abdomen ad chest.
